A classic off-white Merchant & Mills Ikat, with a scattered emerald and indigo cross-hatch motif. Ikat is a resist-dyeing technique — the threads are bound and dyed before weaving, so the pattern is woven into the cloth itself, not printed on top. As a handwoven fabric, slubs and small irregularities are part of its character, not a flaw.

Care Instructions:

For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye to prevent it running.
Wash at 30-40° with a non-bio detergent.
